Teddy Blueger Trade

Pittsburgh cleared some cap space by sending Teddy Blueger to the Vegas Golden Knights and actually received some future assets in return in prospect Peter DiLiberatore and a 2024 third round pick. DiLiberatore showed some promise as a rookie in the AHL last season with 20 points in 53 games, but regressed a but in 2022-23 with three helpers in 22 AHL and another three helpers in 18 appearances in the ECHL after a productive 60 points in 101 NCAA games over three years at Quinnipiac University. DiLiberatore joined the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and scored in a debut the AHL outdoor game at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

Markus Granlund Trade

2023 2nd Round Pick

Pittsburgh sent a second round pick to the Nashville Predators for Markus Granlund to add depth and experience to the bottom six.

Dmitry Kulikov Trade

2024 3rd Round Pick

The Penguins parted with the remaining years on the Brock McGinn contract in exchange for Dmitry Kulikov and kicked in a 2024 third round pick.

Nick Bonino Trade

2024 5th Round Pick

Pittsburgh sent a 2023 seventh round pick and 2024 fifth round pick to the San Jose Sharks–the fifth round pick becomes a fourth round pick if Pittsburgh advances to the Eastern Conference final–in exchange for Nick Bonino via Montreal. The Canadiens took on 50 percent of Bonino’s cap hit.
