Despite missing a portion of the 2024-25 season–and likely a spot with Canada at the 2025 World Junior Championship–due to injury, Harrison Brunicke managed 30 points in 41 games with the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL–leading blueliners and sixth overall on the team. With good size at 6’3″, 203 lbs. and blossoming skill set in the offensive zone, Brunicke joined the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins near the end of the season and recorded two assists in 10 regular season games and two points, including a goal, in two postseason games. A solid all around defender, Brunicke looks to be only a season or two away from the NHL and potentially a cornerstone in the future, but almost certainly ends up with Kamloops again in 2025-26 due to being ineligible to play full-time in the AHL.
