The Pittsburgh Penguins traded back into the first round of the 2025 NHL entry draft to take Will Horcoff with the 24th overall pick. A cerebral player with a big frame at 6’5″, 203 lbs., Horcoff settled in nicely with the University of Michigan after joining the team as a true freshman midway through 2024-25 the season, finishing with 10 points in 18 games. Horcoff hopes to build on a good freshman season and, continue developing into a reliable, two-way forward, and given the size and pedigree of the forward, be a legitimate NHL candidate sooner rather than later.
