Owen Pickering looks to be producing with a new level of consistency, matching 13 total points as a rookie last season in 20 fewer games after recording four points in four games last week. The 2022 first-round pick picked up a secondary assist on the lone Wilkes-Barre/Scranton goal in a 2-1 loss to the Charlotte Checkers on Tuesday, recorded a primary assist on the tying goal in the third period of a 3-2 shootout loss to the Utica Comets on Saturday, and added another assist and a goal in a 3-1 win over the Hershey Bears on Sunday.

Pickering leads blueliners on the team with 13 points in 27 games after recording 13 points in 47 games as a rookie in the AHL last season. The 6’5” blueliner went without a point in four NHL games early in the season but hopes the recent uptick in production with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton leads to another opportunity in Pittsburgh.
