Bill Zonnon extended a point streak to four games with five points in two games last week. The 2025 first round pick scored and added two assists in a 7-1 win for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada on Friday and added two helpers in a 7-4 loss to the Charlottetown Islanders on Sunday. Despite missing the first half of the season recovering from injury, Zonnon currently ranks seventh on the team with 36 points in 27 games for a 1.33 point per game average–a slight jump on a 1.29 point per game average last season. Blainville-Boisbriand currently sits in second place in the Western Conference of the QMJHL, two points behind first place with two games in hand, and hopes to make a deep run in the postseason.

Kale Dach continued a strong season for the Calgary Hitmen with three points in three games last week. The 2025 seventh round pick scored and added a helper in a 5-4 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Tuesday and opened the scoring in a loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday. Dach leads the team with 32 goals and 68 points in 54 games and ranks among the top 20 scorers in the WHL. The Hitmen rank fourth in the Eastern Conference of the WHL.

Daniel Laatsch scored for the second time in a rookie season at the professional level, giving the Wheeling Nailers a 3-1 lead in a 7-2 win over the Kalamazoo Wings on Friday and added a primary helper in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Fort Wayne Komets on Sunday. The 2021 seventh round pick played for four seasons with the Wisconsin Badgers in the NCAA before turning professional, recording 26 points in 126 games. Laatsch boasts nine points in 18 games with the Nailers in the ECHL in 2025-26 along with three points in 10 games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Down On The Farm

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins held on for a 3-2 win over the Cleveland Monsters on Friday night. Atley Calvert, Ville Koivunen, and Aidan McDonough scored. Zach Gallant, Alex Alexeyev, Rutger McGroarty, Matt Dumba, Gabe Klassen, and Owen Pickering all recorded assists. Joel Blomqvist stopped 22 of 24 shots in the win.

The Penguins fell 2-1 in overtime in a rematch the next night. Dumba scored the lone Wilkes-Barre/Scranton goal off Tristan Broz and McGroarty assists. Sergei Murashov stopped 27 of 29 shots in the loss.

The Wheeling Nailers returned from a week off and jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the Fort Wayne Komets in the first period before giving up the next four and losing 6-3. Logan Pietila scored twice. Connor Lockhart scored the other Wheeling goal. Ryan McAllister recorded two assists. Emil Pieniniemi and Scooter Brickey both recorded helpers. Taylor Gauthier surrendered six goals on 30 shots in the loss.

The Nailers outshot the Kalamazoo Wings 41-10 in a 7-2 win on Friday night. Craig Armstrong scored twice. Ryan McAllister scored and added two assists. Brent Johnson scored and finished with a helper. Daniel Laatsch, Emil Pieniniemi, and Nolan Renwick scored the other Wheeling goals. Zach Urdahl finished with two assists. Max Graham, Mathieu De St. Phalle, Brayden Edwards, David Breazeale, Scooter Brickey, Connor Lockhart, Logan Pietila, and Jack Works all recorded helpers. Taylor Gauthier stopped eight shots in the win.

The Nailers battled back from a 4-1 deficit but lost 6-4 to the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday night. Lockhart and McAllister scored and added helpers. Jack Works and Nolan Renwick scored the other Wheeling goals. Emil Pieniniemi recorded a pair of assists. Tommy Budnick, Max Graham, Raivis Ansons, and Logan Pietila all finished with helpers. Maxim Pavlenko surrendered five goals on 32 shots in the loss.

The Nailers let a lead slip away with under a minute left in regulation and lost 3-2 in overtime to Fort Wayne on Sunday. Posma scored and added a helper. Urdahl scored the other Wheeling goal. Ansons, Laatsch, and Johnson all finished with helpers. Taylor Gauthier stopped 29 of 32 shots in the loss.
