A low ceiling, high floor prospect taken in the fourth round of the 2024 NHL entry draft, Chase Pietila led Michigan Tech blueliners with 22 points in 36 games last season and earned a Best Defensive Defenseman distinction in the CCHA Conference along with a spot on the CCHA First All-Star team. The right handed, 6’2″, 187 lbs. blueliner plays a solid game in all three zones and brings a willingness to play with some toughness to the lineup. Pietila likely plays with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton next season and potentially significant playing time with a lack of depth on the right side of the bluline throughout the organization.
