Travis Hayes Records Three-Point Game For Soo Greyhounds After Slow But Steady Start To OHL Season
After a slower than expected start to the 2025-26 season with the Soo Greyhounds in the OHL, Travis Hayes recorded eight points over four games, including three points in a lopsided 11-2 win over the Oshawa Generals on Friday night. The 2025 fourth round pick gave the Greyhounds 3-0 and 7-1 leads and added a primary assist on the sixth Sault Ste. Marie goal. Hayes went without a point in a 7-3 win over the Sarnia Sting on Sunday and currently ranks seventh on the team with 22 points in 28 games.
Hayes recorded 51 points in 64 games last season and hopes for a more consistent backhalf of the season as Sault Ste. Marie–currently fourth place in the Western Conference–looks to stay firmly in the playoff race.
