Charlie Trethewey Scores First Goal Of NCAA Career In Boston University Win
Fighting for ice time as a freshman on a talented Boston University Terriers blueline, Charlie Trethewey scored for the first time at the NCAA level–and the eventual game winner–in a 2-1 win over the Vermont Catamounts on Friday night. The 2025 third round pick ranks fourth among blueliners on the team with four points in 17 games. Trethewey ranked fourth on the United States National Team Development Program U18 team last season with 20 points in 63 games.
Boston University, so far, failed to live up to high expectations coming into the 2025-26 season with a 8-8-1 record after advancing to the NCAA Frozen Four Championship game last season and losing to Western Michigan. The Terriers currently rank sixth in the Hockey East Conference.
